Guidelines for submissions to E-Spinner

Top  Previous  Next

Members (and others) are welcome to submit articles, pictures and news items for inclusion in editions of E-Spinner.

The kinds of things which would be acceptable are:

Articles of general interest to anyone in the aviation community
Articles on club members achievements and activities
News items (from anywhere) which are of interest to the local aviation community
Technical articles and discussions on aviation, flying, flying training, aircraft.. etc.
Pictures of aircraft, aviation related events or places which may be of interest to members

Other types of submissions will be considered, but would generally need to be things which club members would find interesting or amusing.

Only submissions in electronic format will be considered.

Text can be submitted in Notepad or Word format. If you are using word, please save it as a word 2003 or earlier version of word, or as an "RTF" (Rich text Format File). (I don't have the latest version of word).

Pictures can be submitted in Jpeg format. They do not need to be in high resolution format because they will only be published on the web. Most picture management programs have an export option which will allow you to set the size and resolution of your pictures. A size of about 640x400 pixels at 72 dpi or there-about is a good size for E-Spinner.

Pictures can also be submitted as a "Link to a Web Album" from your own photo library website if you wish. This is a very easy way of displaying and adding your pictures to any web page. There are quite a few systems available that will do this for you. One system which you can use which allows you to store up to 1000Mb of pictures for free is Googles "Picasa".

For details of how to create a web library using "Picasa" from Google, go to "Picasa Web Albums".

Be aware that any articles or pictures published will be on the web and will be able to be viewed by anybody so don't include anything you want to keep private.
